How do I register for the online classes?
Find the course that you wish to register for and click the enroll button.

I can’t attend the live lesson, can I still join online?
Yes, all lessons are recorded and uploaded to view later.

How do I access the recorded lessons?
Sign into the dashboard on our website. Here you will find your enrolled courses. Select any specific course to access the recordings

How soon are the recordings made available?
Due to the time required for the editing, recorded are made available within 48 hours.

How do I get access to the textbooks?
PDF’s of the textbooks are shared with students.
School Dates and Class Times

What are the schools’ days in the week?
Classes are from Monday – Thursday.

What are the times of the classes?
Classes start at 8:15 and end at 12:50.

Are the classes on public holidays?
No, we close on public holidays.

When does the school close for holidays?
We try our best to conform to the holidays of secular schools. However, it doesn’t match completely.

Are there classes during Ramadan?
Yes, however, a break is given during the last 10 days of Ramadan and Eid.
Dress Code

Is there a specific dress code for Darun-Na’im?
• Females wear black abayas and a niqab • Brothers wear a thoub (preferably white) and a fez.

I don’t want to wear a niqab, can I still attend?
All female students are required to wear a niqab while on the premises.
Exams and Reports

Are there exams during the year?
Yes, we have continuous assessments throughout the year, and exams at the end of each term.

Are there exams for online students?
Yes, to the best of our ability we try to produce the same exam to our online students.

Do I need to write the exams?
Students who want certification at the end of the course will be required to write and pass the exams.

Are the exams difficult?
The exams are catered to the current ability of the class.

Are there reports?
Yes, a report is given at the end of each term.
Certificates

Do students receive a certificate at the end of the year?
Certification is granted to students who complete our full 2-year course.

Are certificates given to online students?
Yes, any student, whether in-person or online qualifies for a certificate if they completed the 2-year course (Provided all conditions are met).

Is there only 1 type of certificate?
No, we have both the completion and a participation certificate.

What is the difference between the completion and the participation certificates?
Completion certificates are awarded to students with good attendance and have passed all their subjects with the required marks. Participation certificates are awarded to students who have good attendance but have not passed either Aqīdah/Fiqh or 2 subjects.

Is Darun-Na’im registered for me to get credits if I complete the 2-year course?
No, Darun-Na’im is not registered where students earn any credits.
Fees

What are the current fees?
Registration is R550 and the total annual fee is R13 200 (2024).

Are there different options of paying my fees?
Yes, fees can be paid upfront, or via 10 months (R1 320/month), 11 months (R1 200/month) and 12 months (R1 100/month).

How do I pay my fees for the online course?
All online courses payments are processed through PayFast (A registered online payment medium).
